OUR HISTORY
First established in 1992, Park House Kitchens was the creation of Trish Rowland who set up her first kitchen showroom in a derelict barn next to her home - Park House - in Slinfold, West Sussex.
Trish started her career as a Maths teacher. After having her two children, in the late eighties she decided to try something different and answered an advert in a national newspaper one day that asked if you could measure and fit a series of boxes into a certain space. Of course she could! It turned out to be for a direct selling kitchen company where Trish would excel and become their lead salesperson. Several years later, disillusioned by the nature of direct selling and the lack of care and service given to the customer, it was Trish’s brother who suggested she start up on her own. With a loan from him of ten thousand pounds, Trish set up her kitchen showroom and off she went.
It was Trish’s ambition to create a design and installation business that did things differently. Unparalleled customer service coupled with intelligent and beautiful design were at the core of her ethos. A fully turn-key service that looked after every detail, giving the customer complete peace of mind, which was, and still is, rare to find. Coupled with her natural flair for design and friendly nature, Park House’s excellent reputation became well-known in Horsham and its surrounding areas.
And as a true testament to Trish’s success, over 30 years on Park House continues to this day, now with Trish’s talented daughter, Emily, at the helm.
OUR SHOWROOM
In 2015 we moved our showroom from Slinfold to Ockley, Surrey, between Horsham and Dorking.
Our main aim was to find a location that would offer a very different experience to the stress of the high street; we are in converted barns, surrounded by the beautiful Surrey Hills.
Our showroom is a warm, welcoming place that has been designed to give you the feeling of being at home in a real kitchen. With the addition of our second barn in 2023, we are excited about what we have created and what we have to show you.
Emily is the director and owner of Park House Kitchens & Design. It will be Emily who is your contact throughout, from initial brief, design and quoting right through to project management onsite.
She is brilliantly supported by Sean, who heads up our installation team and whose considerable experience lies not only in kitchen fitting but cabinet making and carpentry. Sean is joined by our trusted group of tradesmen who have all been part of our team for many years.
And keeping everyone on track in the office is the amazing Laura, whose efficient and friendly manner are integral to the smooth running of each project. Always on hand to answer your calls, she is a reassuring constant point of contact in the office.
